1. General prerequisites for the NRX add-on
To ensure that no customer objects will be overwritten by the installation of the Add-on, please make certain that the following objects have not been created in your system, with the same name.Development Class/Package ZNRX_CUST (R3TR DEVC ZNRX_CUST)Authorization Object ZNRX_VAR (R3TR SUSO ZNRX_VAR)Documentation for the Authorization Object ZNRX_VAR (LIMU DOCU UOZNRX_VAR)Ensure Sufficient Space for Transport Directory (/usr/sap/trans)Approximately 100 MB is requiredApply required OSS notes
Apply the SAP Notes to your SAP system to correct known issues within your support package levels.
For the most up-to-date listing of SAP Notes that relate to VIP, refer to documentation provided with VIP 4.4 entitled “Deployment Guide for the NRX Add-On.pdf”.Review the release notes for VIP 4.4 and for any applicable VIP support package.

2. Prerequisites for the installation using SAINT
Current versions of kernel, tp and R3trans
Make sure that your system contains the current versions of kernel, tp and R3transCurrent SPAM / SAINT Update
Make sure that you have imported the most recent SPAM / SAINT Update into your system.
Compare the short text of the last SPAM / SAINT Update you imported with that of the SPAM / SAINT Update in the SAP Service Marketplace. 3. Preparing the installation
Import the required user language for all components that have already been installed.This language import must be performed prior to the upgrade or installation of the Add-OnMount the Add-On Installation CD OR Add-On Installation directoryLoad the packages into your system.
Note: For more information about this, see the online documentation of the Add-On Installation Tool. Choose the help function in the application toolbar, and then navigate to Online Docu -> Loading Installation Packages.

4. Executing the installation
Log on to your SAP system as client 000 and as a user that has SAP_ALL authorization.
Do not use the user SAP* or DDICStart the installation or upgrade using the Add-On Installation Tool (transaction SAINT):

5. Post-installation activities
Install VIP Support Packages, in sequence, for the latest features and fixes. Refer to the VIP release strategy in note 1355023 for the listing of these support packages.
