1. Prerequisites for the installation of DART 1.08 and configuration

The functions for DART are contained in Support Package SAPKH45B58 for 45B as well as in SAPKH40B80 for 40B.As an alternative to the installation described here, you can also import Support Packages up to and including
SAPKH40B80 to 40B – or -
SAPKH45B58 to 45B
You should then no longer install DART.
You should not carry out the installation on Support Packages higher than SAPKH40B79 or SAPKH45B57.Import the latest SPAM/SAINT update
Make sure that you have imported the latest SPAM/SAINT update into your system.To do this, compare the short text of the SPAM/SAINT update (SAPKD000*) that you imported last with the short text of the SPAM/SAINT update in the SAPNet R/3 front end or SAPNet Web front end.If there is a newer version in the SAPNet R/3 front end or SAPNet Web front end, import the new SPAM/SAINT update.

Additional information on the installation:Net runtime< 15 minThe version DART 1.07 may be installed, but is not a prerequisite for DART 1.08.If this is the first installation of DART, you must import the configuration for DART 1.08. If DART 1.08 is only imported as an upgrade to DART 1.05 or later, the configuration may not be imported since otherwise the current configuration will be overwritten.

2. Preparing for the installation of DART 1.08 and configuration
Description of downloading the software from the Service Marketplace
Log on as user
<sid>adm for UNIX,
<SID>OFR for AS/400,
<SID>adm for Windows NT.Change to the transport directory of your R/3 System.The transport directory is also displayed with transaction AL11 under DIR_TRANS.Unpack the SAR archives with the following statement:
SAPCAR -xvf /<CD_DIR>/DATA/<ARCHIV>.SAR for UNIX,
SAPCAR ‘-xvf /QOPT/<VOLID>/DATA/<ARCHIV>.SAR’ for AS/400,
SAPCAR -xvf <CD_DRIVE>:\DATA\<ARCHIV>.SAR for Windows NT.
3. Installing DART 1.08 and configuration
Log on to your R/3 System in client 000 as a user with SAP_ALL rights.Do NOT use the SAP* or DDIC user.Display the add-on installation packages or upgrade packages:
Call transaction SAINT and select the ‘Load’ button.After the list of uploaded packages is displayed, you can return to the initial screen of the transaction SAINT via F3 or by pressing the ‘Back’ button.Start installation or upgrade:
Call transaction SAINT and select the CA-GTF-DRT 1.08 add-on and select the ‘Continue’ button.If all necessary conditions for importing the add-on have been met, the corresponding queue is now displayed.The queue consists of the installation package and can also contain Support Packages and add-on packages.To start the installation process, select the ‘Continue’ button.You will find further information by calling transaction SAINT and selecting the corresponding button in the toolbar.Refer also to the documentation in the DOCU directory on the installation CD.If the add-on is required for the configuration, import the CA-GTF-DRC 1.08 add-on after installing CA-GTF-DRT 1.08, as described above.
4. Note on the installation of DART 1.08 on R/3 40B
After a successful installation, you still have to create and assign DART authorizations.Refer to the DART documentation for further information.You can read this documentation via the help portal on SAP http://help.sap.com or download it from sapserv3 as described in note 426827. If you access the documentation via the help portal, use the documentation for R/3 4.6B.The DART chapter also applies to R/3 4.0.
5. Note on the installation of DART 1.08 on R/3 45B

Only DART on R/3 45B:
If you have already installed DART 1.07 on your system, objects are offered for comparison when you import the DART 1.08 add-on after the DDIC import phase in transaction SPDD.When you select the “Finished” button, the old versions are overwritten by the version of DART 1.08. You can then continue the installation.
