Symptom
You are currently using the Enterprise services repository of the following version : SP01 of Enhancement Package 1 (EhP1). You would like to update to SP02.
Other terms
SP02 of Enhancement Package 1 (EhP1), SAP NetWeaver Process Integration, SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment, Enterprise Services Repository, SAP BASIS
Reason and Prerequisites
As part of the Enhancement package 1 of SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI) 7.1 and Enhancement package 1 of SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment (CE) 7.1, we are releasing the first version of integration between Enterprise Modeling by IDS Scheer with SAP Enterprise Services Repository (ESR) whereby selected models maintained in the ESR can be viewed in the SAP Enterprise Modeling.
In order to better facilitate the integration, we are adding a new attribute to the Service Operation modeling entity called “ServiceRequest ID” as part of SP02. This requires changes both in the SAP BASIS Content and in the ESR.
Solution
If customers currently use SP01 of ESR and SAP BASIS,
To update the ESR to SP02, perform the steps in the following order
1. Update the ESR to SP02
2. Update the SAP BASIS content to SP02
To update the SAP BASIS content to SP02, perform the steps in the following order
1. Update the ESR to SP02
2. Update the SAP BASIS content to SP02
Ensure that both the steps are done immediately so that they are consistent.
Note: This is valid only if you are using Enhancement Package 1 of PI / CE 7.10
