Reason and Prerequisites

You want to install the BI_CONT 711 add-on.
You want to carry out a BW upgrade to SAP_BW 7.10.
You want to import Add-On Support Packages for BI_CONT 7.11.

Otherwise, there is a risk that you may no longer be able to update entries if changes are introduced into the interface structures of the V3 update modules by the patch or upgrade (see Note 328181).Before the upgrade, process your entries in the extraction queues. Otherwise, there is a risk that you may no longer be able to update these entries if changes to the interface structures of the qRFC function modules are introduced by the patch or the upgrade (see Note 328181).Before the upgrade, delete your entries in the reconstruction tables for the logistics extraction applications. Otherwise, there is a risk that you may no longer be able to use these entries if changes to the extraction structures are introduced by the patch or the upgrade (see Note 328181).c) LanguagesIn addition to German and English, BI_CONT 711 supports the following languages: BG, CA, CS, DA, EL, ES, FI, FR, HE, HR, HU, IT, JA, KO, NL, NO, PL, PT, RO, RU, SK, SL, SV, TR, ZF, ZH.All language dependent parts of BA_CONT 711 are contained in the add-on installation package, except for Catalan. If the relevant standard language exists in the system when you import BI_CONT 711, the language part of the add-on is automatically imported also. You do not have to import a language transport separately.If you imported a new standard language into your system after installing Add-On BI_CONT 711, you must manually ensure that the corresponding language-dependent part of the add-on is also imported. See Note 195442 for further information.If you want to import Catalan or Norwegian for BI_CONT 711, you require the language package SAPKLCA7111AOBICONT0. This is available in the SAP Software Download Center under the menu path “Installations and Upgrades -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP Industry-specific Components -> BANKING SERVICES FROM SAP 6.0 or 7.0 -> Installation and Upgrade -> < OS > -> < DB >“. Use transaction SMLT for the import. Note that BI_CONT 711 SP02 (SAPK-71102INBICONT) is a prerequisite for importing the packages.
3. Installationa) PrerequisiteImport the latest SPAM/SAINT update.b) PreparationUnpack the fileBICONT711INST.SARfrom the INST/DATA directory on the DVD with material number51031795to the directory. The fileCSR0120031469_0026137.PATshould now be in the /in directory.You can use the “parallel import” option to install the add-on. For more information, see Note 705192.We recommend to perform the installation together with the available Support Packages (see last section).c) User to be usedLog on to your SAP system in client 000 as a user with SAP_ALL authorization. Do NOT use the SAP* or DDIC users.d) Display the add-on installation package.Call transaction SAINT and choose “Start” and “Load”.
After the list of uploaded packages is displayed, you can return to the initial screen of transaction SAINT by choosing either F3 or ‘Back’.e) Start the installation.Call transaction SAINT and choose “Start”. Select the BI_CONT 711 add-on and choose ‘Continue’. If all of the necessary conditions for importing the add-on have been fulfilled, the system will now display the relevant queue. The queue consists of the installation package, and it may also contain Support Packages and Add-On Support Packages.
To start the installation process, choose ‘Continue’. For more information, call transaction SAINT and choose ‘Info’ on the application toolbar.f) PasswordThe system prompts you to enter a password. This password is:F8971621D94. BW upgradea) PrerequisiteImport the latest SPAM/SAINT update.The upgrades of the following BW releases are supported:
BW 20B, 21C, 30B, 310 (BI_CONT 330), 350 (BI_CONT 353), 700 (BI_CONT 702, 703)b) PreparationDownload the upgrade package from SAP Service Marktplace (quick link INSTALLATIONS) to a temporary directory, or install the CD with material number51031795. The add-on upgrade package is unpacked automatically from the CD. In the UPLOAD_REQUEST phase, specify the directory in which you loaded the add-on upgrade DVD (including the UPGR subdirectory – for example, /mount_bicont/UPGR).
If you downloaded the add-on upgrade package directly from SAP Service Marketplace, unpack it in the /in directory.
Information: You can find the fileCSN0120061532_0025390.PATin the /in directory (at the latest after the UPLOAD_REQUEST phase).We recommend to perform the installation together with the available Support Packages (see last section).c) Additional information about the prepareIS_SELECT phase: Answer the question for BI_CONT with ‘Upgrade with SAINT package’.Phase PATCH_CHK: Include the available Add-On Support Packages in the upgrade. (See section 4)d) Known problems when upgrading to BI_CONT 711When you upgrade with Source Release BI_CONT 703 Support Package 10 or higher, error messages may occur during the upgrade phase CHK_POSTUP. The following error messages are displayed in the log LONGPOST.LOG:
