Symptom

The CE Update Management Service fails during update from SAP NW CE 7.1 to EHP1 for SAP NW CE 7.1.

Reason and Prerequisites

By the time you start the system update, JSPM has already been updated to the latest version. Therefore, when the CE Update Management Service tries to update JSPM, there is no newer version to update to. JSPM wrongly reports this as an error.
Solution

Remove the JSPM software component archive from the inbox folder (the CE Update Management Service only tries to update JSPM if there is an archive in the inbox).
