Generally, we advise against changing the factory calendar and the public holiday calendar directly in the production client. The standard procedure is to set up a Customizing system. You should make all the changes there and then import them into the production system.
Therefore, you cannot change the factory calendar and public holiday calendar in the production system. The maintenance transaction analyzes the client settings. If the client is set so that no changes are allowed, you only reach the display mode in the maintenance transaction. The same behavior occurs if changes to cross-client Customizing are forbidden in the client settings. You can check these settings using transaction OY24.Double-click the relevant client.
The following settings cause the calendar maintenance to be available only in display mode:
Changes and transports for client-specific objectno changes allowedChanges to cross-client objectsno change of client-independent Customizing objectsno change of Repository and client-independent Cust. obj.
If maintenance of the calendar dates in the production client is unavoidable, you can use the following corrections. After you execute the correction, the client settings are no longer taken into account. The calendar dates can be changed if the user has the corresponding authorization.
