Symptom
This note provides important information on Support Packages ERP HR Component 6.00 (abbreviated as ‘HR-SP’) and ERP HR Extension Set 6.00 (abbreviated as ‘EA-HR SP’):
A list of notes contained in HR SPs, which require other Support Packages (e.g. ERP SPs = ERP Support Packages = former Hot Packages) to be applied.
Does an HR SP have special features which should be noted when being applied or which affect the contents of the HR SP.
Is a minimum Support Package, Basis Support Package or ABA Support Package level (stack) required to apply an HR SP (mandatory for technical reasons).Other useful hints.
Before you apply each HR SP make sure that you use the up-to-date version of this note.
To prevent problems during HR SP application (especially when applying queues) read Note #822379 in addition.

FromAugust 2008on, it will be possible to ship CLC Packages, containing the Legal Changes for one country. CLC Packages will only be produced, if a big Legal Change in one country becomes effective. Pleasecheck the notes#1167891″Announcement: New HCM Legal Change Delivery Process”,#1170539″Changes in Notes for HCM” and#1232082″Q &A: New HCM Legal Change delivery process (CLC)” about the changes in the HRSP delivery.
SAP recommends to import the first Synchronization HRSP (June 2008) until end of 2008. From 2009 correction instructions and notes will only be valid on subcomponents.

Reason and Prerequisites
Some notes implemented in HR SPs may still require to be applied on a minimum SP level. If you are affected by such a note, or the correction requires a minimum SP level for technical reasons, please make sure you have applied at least the Support Packages assigned to that note.

ATTENTION: If HR SPs or HR LCPs have been applied to an R/3 System, an upgrade of this system to ECC 6.00 means you must merge ALL EXISTING SAP_HR ECC 6.00 (if necessary) DURING the upgrade to ECC 6.00. Read note #856284 for details on merging patches of the target release during upgrades.
Most HR SPs contain entries for HR table T512W (wage types in HR). This note contains information regarding the country versions that are affected in this case. If you use a country version that is affected, execute a backup of table T512W before you apply an HR SP in order to save adjustments that the customer may have made in this table.

Note on wage type backup:
If you are using the HR component for a country grouping (MOLGA) for which wage types (table T512W) are also delivered with an HR SP, make a backup of the wage type table T512W using report RPU12W0S before applying this HR SP.
If you have made changes to technical wage types (beginning with backslash ‘/’), an SAP model wage type or another wage type that is not in the customer range, after you apply this HR SP these changes can be uploaded again using the backup and report RPU12W0C or RPU12W0S. Only the above-mentioned changes should be uploaded. This avoids overwriting the changes recently delivered by SAP.
You can find out in more detail which wage types for which country versions are influenced by applying HR SPs from the object list of the HR SP in question visible in Online Service System (OSS).
Since table T512W is client-specific, make sure to back up the data in all relevant clients. The SAP client 000 is not taken into consideration since it always contains the original delivered by SAP – so you want to copy all the data from the HR SP in this client.
