You are looking for more information how to convert a so-called ‘Single Code Page System’ to Unicode.
Your system has only one system code page installed which makes it a so-called Single Code Page System.
If you are not sure, open transaction SE16, enter database table TCPDB, and check how many entries there are. If TCPDB has exactly one entry, it is a Single Code Page system.
Exception:
If the entry is either 6100, 6200, or 6500, it is an ‘Ambiguous Blended Code Page System’. This SAP Note does not apply for Ambiguous Blended Code Pages. Refer to SAP Notes 551344 and 818374 instead.

Solution
Single Code Page conversion is supported as of release SAP Web Application Server 6.20 and all higher releases. The procedure consists of the following basic steps:
1. Preparation of the non-Unicode System.2. Homogeneous or Heterogeneous System Copy:a) Export of non-Unicode data from non-Unicode databaseb) Conversion of non-Unicode data during export procedurec) Installation of new Unicode database and import of converted data3. Conversion Completion in the Unicode system
