Symptom
The Abort Messages (A.M) ‘207′, ‘210′, ‘211′ have incorrect translations.
The translations need to be corrected to avoid inconvinience to the users.
Other terms
AM, 207, 210, 211, POSTAL CODE, COMPANY POSTAL CODE, BAS_SCREEN.
Reason and Prerequisites
Translation error caused this problem.
Solution
The following manual steps have to be followed to avoid the wrong error messages from being displayed.
1. Go to transaction ‘SE91′.
2. Choose message class as ‘AM’ and message number as ‘207′.
3. Go to change/edit mode. Choose maintain in original language.
4. Replace the text existing in ‘German’ by the text given below:
‘Bei & muss an der & Stelle ein Leerzeichen stehen’.
5. Save these changes.
6. To make changes in ‘English’: Repeat steps 1 and 2.
7. Choose message ‘207′.
8. Goto button ‘Goto’ and choose ‘Translation’.
9. Choose original language as ‘German’ and target language as ‘English’.
10. Change the text to: ‘In & there must be a space in position &’.
11. Save the changes done.
Repeat these above mentioned steps for Abort Message ‘210′ and ‘211′.
The text in ‘German’ and ‘English’ for these messages is mentioned below:
‘210′:
German: ‘Bei & muss an der & Stelle eine Ziffer stehen’
English: ‘In & there must be a number in position &’
‘211′:
German: ‘Bei & muss an der & Stelle ein Buchstabe stehen’
English: ‘In & there must be a letter in position &’
Kindly follow these manual steps to correct the error messages mentioned above. These corrections will be considered as modifications. These corrections will be made for all languages including English and will be included in the subsequent support packages.
