Symptom
You want to encrypt data between the application server and the database.
Other terms
MVS, OS/390, DB2, DRDA
Reason and Prerequisites
Apply lib_dbsl patch #212 for kernel release 7.00.
Solution
This functionality is enabled if you set profile parameter dbs/db2/data_encrypt to the value 1.
With data encryption between the application server and the database, a
considerable performance overhead is expected. Currently no exact data is available.
