This is a request by SAP Support/Development with regard to CVERS error messages in SDM and/or JSPM.

Solution

The following instructions switch the SLUtil library (component tc/SL/UTIL) to debug mode.
This provides a detailed analysis of errors that occur when the SLUtil library is used in the Software Delivery Manager (SDM).
When you use the SLUtil library in WebAS, the system writes any error messages into the default trace files, and then this description is ineffective.
To resolve CVERS errors that occur when using the SLUtil library in the SDM:
1. First, extract the attached ZIP file to the SDM root directory :\usr\sap\\JC\SDM\program.
There, the file must have the name saplogging.config.
2. Stop and restart the SDM.
3. Then repeat the incorrect SDM function.
4. The debug log file is now
:\usr\sap\\JC\SDM\program\log\slutil.log
Attach this log file to the CSN message.
Also attach the corresponding SDM log files to the message.
These are the files sdm*.log in the directory .:\usr\sap\\JC\SDM\program\log.
To resolve CVERS errors that occur when using the SLUtil library in the JSPM:
1. First, extract the attached ZIP file to the SDM root directory :\usr\sap\\JC\j2ee\JSPM.
There, the file must have the name saplogging.config.
2. Restart JSPM and reproduce the error.
3. The debug log file is now
:\usr\sap\\JC\j2ee\JSPM\log\slutil.log
Attach this log file to the CSN message.
Also attach the other current files from the directory :\usr\sap\\JC\j2ee\JSPM\log.
