Symptom

You cannot set an expiration time for the client cache in the Object Navigator (transaction SE80) for the MIME folder that is assigned to a BSP application or a Web Dynpro component. This function is available only for the MIME objects themselves.

Currently, this function is not provided.
Solution

Use the MIME Repository to set the expiration time for the client cache.
The relevant Support Package will provide the “Expiration Time Client Cache” function in the Object Navigator in the “MIMEs” node of a BSP application or a Web Dynpro component.
