Solution

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS, COLOR PALETTE, PERFORMANCE
Note for the Windows standalone installation:
To generate images using the IGS your server needs a color setting of at least 32768 colors. That means you have to enable a color depth of at least 2 bytes. But feel free to use true color mode instead.

Amount of Portwatchers:
At least two, maximum twice the number of CPUs.

Perfomance example: Generating a graphic on a Pentium 800 MHz
Time for generating graphics:
Maps: roughly 600 msBusiness graphics: roughly 300 msYou should double the times for a “slower” Pentium with 400 MHz.

Memory requirements (Windows)
Memory requirements for MUX: roughly 48 MBMemory requirements per Portwatcher roughly 48MB

Memory requirements (Unix)
Memory requirements for MUX: roughly 64 MBMemory requirements per Portwatcher roughly 48 MB

Harddiskspace:
Windows: ca. 40mbUnix: ca.90mb
