Reason and Prerequisites

If you have not previously installed an ST-PI add-on, use the CD for the installation; or if you already have add-on ST-PI 003A_[SAP Release], 003B_[SAP Release] or 003C_[SAP Release] in your system, then use the CD for the delta upgrade.

1. General information

3. Performing the installation/delta upgrade
Log on to your SAP System in client 000 as a user with SAP_ALL rights. Do NOT use the users SAP* or DDIC.In transaction SAINT, select add-on ST-PI and choose ‘Continue’.
If all required conditions are met for importing the add-on, the system now displays the relevant queue. The queue consists of the installation package and may also contain components and Add-On Support Packages.
To start the installation process, choose ‘Continue’.For more information, see the section entitled ‘Installation and Delta Upgrade of Add-Ons with SAINT’ in the online help of transaction SAINT.Release 2005_1_620If the DDIC activation terminates with the following message, copy the file attached to this note into your DIR_TRANS directory, unpack the SAR file and repeat the DDIC activation:
The /SDF/TESTCIAEWF table could not be activated (E- “Enhanceable and numeric or char.type”, “Enhanceable as reqrd”).
The /SDF/TESTCIAEWZ table could not be activated (E- “Enhanceable and char.type”,”Enhanceable and numeric or char.type”,”Enhanceable as reqrd”).Release 2005_1_4xx (without Support Package 01 or higher)If the system issues a generation error in the /BDL/MTEST program, continue the import using the SAINT function ‘Ignore Generation Errors’.After you have imported the package, use transaction SE16 to delete all table entries from the /BDL/_GENER table.
4. After the installation or update
Transaction SDCCN
Since transaction SDCC is no longer maintained as of December 2005, we recommend that you use transaction SDCCN. If you want to continue using transaction SDCC, implement Note 848146.
5. Language Support
If you intend to install additional languages, we recommend that you do this before you import further Support Packages.In addition to German and English, the following languages are supported for Releases 2005_1_46C, 2005_1_620, 2005_1_640 and 2005_1_700:
Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese.If you want to install one of these languages, proceed as follows: If you want to install the add-on language files, the required language must already be installed in your SAP system. Execute the add-on language import according to the guide ‘Language Transport Guide – SAP Netweaver ‘04′.

For Releases 2005_1_700 and 2005_1_710 there are no longer any specific language packages. The language section is part of the installation package or Support Package. Implement at least SAPKITLQI5 or SAPKITLQJ3 for a complete language status.
