Reason and Prerequisites
BYD system is FP2.0 SP0(based on NW 7.11 SP1) and needs update to SP1(based on NW 7.11 SP3)
Solution
only for BYD FP 2.0
!!! prerequsite !!!
the following hotfixes should be delivered on the system:
HF# 16466 SWLIFECYCL 711 SP1 patch 1
HF# 16840 JSPM 711 SP1 patch 2
1. Logon to http://host:port/sld as j2ee_admin
click on CIM instances
in filter type SL Controller
in class select “Software Component”
go to tab “Associations”
click on row where Associated Instance is “SL Controller 7.11″
click on button “Move”
rename version to 711
press button “Save”
2.visit page:”http://<host>:<port>/slm/lup” as sdt<SID>00 user
go to “Configuration” -> “SDT”
in BATHJOB set DDIC and its password in
logon.id and logon.password
3.visit page:”http://<host>:<port>/slm/lup” as SDT<SID>00
go to Configuration -> Self Update -> configure SAP Note 1330996 to be
used for download of the components.
Maintain “1330996″ in field “Toolset version note”
4. go to: “Support” -> “Configuration” -> “SelfUpdate” and set the
configuration for update of the following tools:
[ ] A1SAdmin
[X] JSPM
[X] SPAM
[X] SDT
[ ] SAPCAR
[X] SLM
[ ] NoteAssistant
[X] SLD
5. “Save” configuration
6. go to: “Home” -> “Create Plan” -> “Self Update”
double check the configured components
7. press “Create”
8. “Execute” the next phases when the current phase is completed
In phase “Preparation” the UI will disappear.
Wait and refresh the page until the UI is available again.
9. Visit page: “http://<host>:<port>/slm/lup”. Go to tab
“Configuration”, tab “Component filter”. Click on button “Add”. Click on
the new row and instead of “name of the component” write
WORKSTATION_UPDATE.
delete “ppms of the component”
Click on button “Save”
10. Check tool versions to be on described above levels.
