Apply all of the patches, optimizer merge patches, and generic patches, which are listed in the following, as described in the relevant README file.
We recommend that you use MOPatch to apply these patches (see Note 1027012). You can also use OPatch (see Note 839182).
When you use MOPatch to apply patches on UNIX/Linux, the system merges the individual patch README files into one README file.
The patches and optimizer merge patches are available at http://service.sap.com/oracle-download -> Oracle 10.2.0.4 -> Database RDBMS in the relevant platform-specific directories. The generic patches are available in the directory “Generic”.

2. Patch Collections for Windows
**************************************************************
This section lists the current patch collection released by SAP and its previous version. To use Oracle Release 10.2.0.4 with SAP on Windows platforms, you require at least Oracle patch collection 5. In general, use themost recentpatch collection.
On Windows, you can apply a patch collection and additional generic patches if required.
Apply the patch collection and the generic patches as described in the relevant README file for the patch collection or the generic patch. In the patch collection README file, the term “bundle patch” is used instead of “patch collection”.
You must use OPatch to apply the patch collection and the generic patches (see Note 839182).
The current patch collection and its previous version is available at: http://service.sap.com/oracle-download -> Oracle 10.2.0.4 in the directories specific to Windows. The generic patches are available in the directory “Generic”.
You can use the following query to determine the Oracle patch collection that is currently installed in your system:
SQL> select action, namespace, version, id, comments
from dba_registry_history
where version = ‘10.2.0.4.0′
order by action_time desc;
