Reason and Prerequisites

When Support Package 10 of the SAP R/3 Plug-In
PI 2004.1 was released, there were still some restrictions concerning the productive use of certain functions. This note contains information about these restrictions.
The status of the following information corresponds to the date this note was last changed.
If you require approval for the live use of a particular plug-in, send an e-mail to the contact person for the relevant plug-in or function (name given in square brackets).
Continue to use the SAPNet – R/3 front end to create problem messages. For more information, see SAP Service Marketplace at “http://service.sap.com/r3-plug-in”.

No release
CRM Commodity Pricing (CRM 5.0 with IS-Oil/IS-Mine back end 4.72)
You cannot use the entire commodity pricing function (calculation of prices for commodities based on stock exchange listings). This function is provided for customers from the Oil & Gas and the Mining industries for the release combinations CRM 5.0 with IS-Oil 4.72 or IS-Mine 4.72.

SAP Event Manager: function module BAPI_TRKOBJ_ACKNSTATUS
If the option to write data to the application log is deactivated in the application system, but the confirmation indicator for this application system is set in Customizing for the relevant EM system, an error occurs in the BAPI_TRKOBJ_ACKNSTATUS function module. The BAL_DB_SAVE function module is called in the SAVE_LOG form routine. If an error occurs in this function module and an exception is set, this exception is not taken into account in the form routine. The program terminates with a short dump.

Connection to SAP F&R
You can only use the provision of SAP F&R with demand influencing factors (DIFs) from retail promotions if you have already implemented Notes 844920 and 865203 in your R/3 system. All new functions in Support Package 10 are described in Note 887098. (only with PI 2004.1 for 4.6C, 4.70 and ERP 2004.)

If you use Plug-In 2004.1 Support Package 10 in an R/3 system with Release 4.6C, your R/3 back-end system requires at least Support Package level 33 of the SAP_APPL component. This prerequisite applies to all SRM/EBP releases. In addition to this minimum requirement, see the following notes for the SAP_APPL component: – Note 512282 (delivered with Support Package 35 of the SAP_APPL component) – Note 515789 (delivered with Support Package 35 of the SAP_APPL component) – Note 529677 (delivered with Support Package 35 of the SAP_APPL component) – Note 537889 (delivered with Support Package 36 of the SAP_APPL component) – Note 678092 (delivered with Support Package 47 of the SAP_APPL component) – Note 904722. If you intend to use SRM 4.0 or SRM 5.0 to operate the direct material scenario, the extended classic scenario or third-party order processing, and, for this purpose, you intend to use an R/3 back-end system with Release 4.6C, note the following: Your R/3 back-end system requires at least Support Package level 39 of the SAP_APPL component for the aforementioned scenarios. In addition to this minimum requirement, see the following notes for the SAP_APPL component: – 678092 (delivered with Support Package 47 of the SAP_APPL component) – 904722.
