I. General Information

ABAP add-on installations can only be installed on certain R/3 releases. Thus, ISOGLOC can only be used on R/3 releases listed in section II.
Before the installation of the add-on, take into account the following restrictions concerning upgrade and maintenance of your R/3 System which result from the installation of an add-on.
It is not possible to uninstall an ABAP Add-on.
In systems in which an ABAP add-on is installed only upgrades to R/3 Releases that are supported for this add-on can be carried out.
Bear in mind that there is a delay between the delivery of the R/3 standard release and the release of the corresponding add-on releases.
If an add-on upgrade is integrated with an R/3 Core release switch, it is integrated into the R/3 Core upgrade (Repository Switch). In addition to the R/3 standard upgrade CDs, an additional add-on upgrade CD is needed to execute this upgrade. If the standard R/3 System upgrade is carried out without this additional CD, the add-on is no longer fuctional after the upgrade. The entire R/3 System is inconsistent. For more information on this problem, read Note 33040.
Also R/3 or HR Support Packages (Hot Packages/LCPs) can only be imported in add-on systems if they are released for this add-on. More detailed information on this can be found in section VI. Bear in mind that there is a delay between the delivery of the standard R/3 Support Packages and the release of the corresponding Conflict Resolution Transports (CRTs) of the add-on.
In summary this means: As soon as you have installed an add-on, for which no return to the R/3 standard system is planned, you can only select specific R/3 upgrade paths where you always have to wait until these paths are supported. If you want to import R/3 Support Packages in your system, you always have to wait until these packages are released (if the add-on is in conflict with the component of this package).
