NoClassDefFoundError due to different versions of components

Symptom
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError and java.lang.NoSuchMethodError exceptions are thrown due to different versions of the deployed components.

In order to solve the issue you have to determine which is the component with different SP level.

Symptom
Upgrade or deployment of a NetWeaver 6.40 or 7.0 system fails with the following error message:
Caught exception during application deployment from SAP J2EE Engine’s deploy service:
