Web Dynpro and Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 8.0

Symptom
WebDynpro applications are not displayed in the browser version of Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0. Instead you get an error page saying “Sorry, your browser/program is not supported by Web Dynpro!”
