Symptom
On Windows Server 2003, SAP high resolution timer delivers incorrect values. There are the following symptoms:
Developer traces contain a lot of warnings:

before starttime (1177209745/709153)sapntchk.exe delivers the following log information:

Executing ‘Hardware Info’ in transaction ST06 does not deliver a result.

As of kernel 7.10, the installation procedure of saposcol has changed.
In previous kernel releases, the sapntchk executable was part of the saposcol package. As of kernel 7.10, this is no longer the case.
