II/ Tools to import/apply Support Package Stacks

To import ABAP Support Packages, you use the Support Package Manager
(transaction SPAM). For more information, seeSAP Note 954792.
To apply Java Support Packages, you use the Java Support Package Manager (JSPM). For more information, seeSAP Note 1147119.

III/ Corrections to the SP Stack Guide

When updating a PI system, you must import the ESR content (export files with file extension .tpz) manually as this is not handled by JSPM. Be aware that after the import the software components XI_CNT_SAP_BASIS and XI_CNT_SAP_ABA will continue to be of the start SP level.

Be aware that during an update to SPS05, the software component ETPRJSCHEDULER is not being updated as it is not part of SPS05.
