Symptom
Configurations for VMC cache regions do not allow sizes that are larger than 2 GB.
Other terms
VMC, VM Container, cache, SC, Shared Closure
Reason and Prerequisites
To one individual VMC cache region, you want to transfer objects that together require a memory larger than 2 GB. However, the configuration of the cache region only allows a size of 2 GB.
Solution
To remove the restriction to 2 GB for each cache region, you can apply a kernel patch. For a correct display and administration, you must import a current vmc_admin_api.jar file and implement an ABAP correction.
The restriction is removed with:
7.00 patch level 169
7.01 patch level 8
7.10 patch level (not available)
7.20 patch level 0
The corrections to transaction SM53 are delivered in a Support Package.
