Solution
This note lists the supported frontend platforms for Java Applets that are integrated in Web Dynpro 7.00, 7.01, 7.10, 7.11
This note is a reduction of the more detailed note 959236 – Web Dynpro Java Applets support a subset of platforms, see below:
Windows:
OS Version: Win XP and Vista
Browser Versions: IE 6 and IE7, Firefox 2.0
JRE Versions: 1.5 and 1.6
Linux:
Supported Distributions:
openSuSE 10.3 and above,
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10,
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 and 5
Browser Versions: Firefox 2.0
JRE Versions: 1.5 and 1.6
MacOS X:
currently not supported.
Please notice that only up to date versions of respective OS, browser and JRE are supported.
