Solution

Licensing and Access

In July 2006, CA and SAP have signed an agreement, allowing you to use Introscope with SAP-developed dashboards and instrumentation as part of SAP Solution Manager. This specific Introscope version build for SAP is refered to as Right-To-View (RTV) version of Introscope.
Introscope 7.1 as referenced below provides this functionality. The setup guide provides accounts and passwords to access Introscope.
If you have taken part in the rampup phase of this agreement you now have to upgrade to Introscope 7.1 or later.
The Right to View (RTV) version of CA-Wily Introscope is a restricted, read-only form of the full product and is bundled with SAP Solution Manager. With the RTV version, support is limited to products that are licensed and supported by SAP. The instrumentation, dashboards, Probe Builder Directives (PBD#s), management modules, and Smartstor data contained within the RTV version of CA-Wily Introscope as provided by SAP is the intellectual property of SAP. Use of these functions is restricted by SAP and may only be used in an unrestricted manner by licensing SAP Extended Diagnostics by CA-Wily from SAP.
If you would like to increase the benefits of Introscope through custom dashboards and instrumentation, or extend Introscope’s capabilities with Introscope PowerpacksTM, those services and products are available by purchasing SAP Extended Diagnostics by CA Wily through SAP. Latest Release

Latest release is Introscope 8.0.2, file names on Service Marketplace …80_03.SAR. Release notes for Introscope 8: SAP Note 1273028.
Note: Please read all release notes referenced in this note before upgrading to the latest release.
Installation

You will need the following files for an Introscope End User installation. You can download all installation files from the Service Marketplace. The installation CD “Wily Introscope 5.3 SAP End User Edition” is NOT needed any more since all files of the CD are replaced by later versions.
Important Note:You will need the latest version of SAPCAR to extract the files – see SAP Note 892842 for more information.

Please check the setup guide to decide if you explicitly want to install the Workstation. It is also available out of the box from the Enterprise Manager.3. Agent files for the managed systems:

Java bytecode instrumentation agent for monitored systems for automated installation using the SMD setup application. Starting with SMD SP13, the LMSERVICE.SCA no longer contains the Introscope agent to allow for more update flexibility of the Introscope agent. You have to deploy the ISAGENTSMD*.SCA on the SMD in addition to the LMSERVICE in order to use the Introscope setup in SMD. To get the Introscope Agent 7.1p11 for LMSERVICE.SCA SP12, please implement Patch 5 for LMSERVICE.SCA SP12.b)ISAGENT80*.SAR. Java bytecode instrumentation agent for monitored systems for manual installation. You only need this file if you do not use the SMD for setup.
Note for AIX using the IBM 1.4 J9 Hybrid VM: You need at least version 7.1 patch 1 of the Introscope agent and you have to use an additional Java VM option. Please check Note 1015184.
Note for IBM Java VM 1.4.2 (>=SR10) Linux x86_64: An additional Java VM option must be used – see Note 1149214.
NOTE for IBM iSeries: Starting with Introscope agent patch level 7.1p11 the Introscope agent works without limitations on iSeries. Please check Note 1064516 for required releases and review the Introscope SAP setup guide for additional iSeries-specific Java VM options.c)ISDOTNET80*.SAR.
