I. General information
You can install add-on installations only on certain SAP releases. The add-on WYTAX ,Wyoming Severance Tax ReWrite (called WYTAX ,in the rest of this note) can therefore be used only on the SAP releases listed in section II/1.
Before you install the add-on, note the following restrictions concerning upgrades and maintenance for your SAP system that are caused by installing an add-on.You cannot uninstall an SAP add-on.In systems in which an SAP add-on is already installed, you can only upgrade to SAP Releases that are supported for the add-on. An overview of the upgrades supported for WYTAX is given in section II/2. Note that there is a delay between the delivery of an SAP standard release and the release of the corresponding add-on release
If you are upgrading an add-on at the same time as you are upgrading your SAP release, it is integrated into the SAP upgrade (Repository switch). You require an additional add-on upgrade CD as well as the SAP standard system upgrade CD to carry out this upgrade. If you upgrade the SAP standard system without this additional CD, the add-on will not workafter the upgrade, since the entire SAP system is inconsistent. Read Note 33040 for more information about this problem.
In summary: as soon as you install an add-on for which no return to the SAP standard system is planned (retrofit), you can only choose certain upgrade paths for your SAP. In this case, you must always wait until these paths are supported. If you want to import SAP Support Packages into your system, you must wait if the add-on conflicts with the component of these packages until these packages are released for the add-on.

If you are planning to use add-ons in combination in an SAP system, it is important that you refer to the release strategy notes and upgrade paths for the other add-ons that are supported (particularly regarding support restrictions for Support Packages).

SAP add-ons and SAP Component Support Packages (CSPs)
SAP add-on releases are always based on a certain SAP Support Package level. If an SAP component is modified by the add-on, further Component Support Packages (CSPs) of this component are only supported with Conflict Resolution Transports (CRT). For some add-ons, Component Support Packages are only supported in blocks with collective CRTs (CCRTs = Collective Conflict Resolution Transport s). Therefore, the release of individual CSPs can be delayed for the add-on. More information about Support Packages and CRTs for R/3 or SAP systems with add-ons is available in Note 53902.
